A band present in every foundational moment of the Madrid rock scene, Los Diablos Negros (previously known as Los Vultures, Las Estrellas Negras and later as Los Botines) were formed in Madrid in 1961 and quickly gained fame thanks to their aggressiveness and bravado. With an innovative style halfway between rock’n’roll and beat, Manolo Pelayo’s band was one of the highlights of the Festivales del Price in 1962, to the point that they were lifted up and carried out of the venue like bullfighters.
