Miguel Noya, a Venezuelan, who had studied composition and electronic music in the United States and whose work since the end of the 70s had swayed from cosmic electronic experimentation to techno, with special emphasis on live electronic music, a field in which he is also a pioneer. Noya is a versatile artist who has made his way in both academic and alternative territories. From his early private experiences with recorders and synthesizers for performances and incidental music, he moved to explore electronic beats, and influenced by 70s synthesizer music, he created a landmark album called “Gran sabana”, composed in its entirety in his personal studio and released independently in 1984, which is reminiscent of Kraftwerk and space synth.
