At the time of its release in 1968, Pic-Nic’s self-titled debut, with American folk-pop and bands such as The Mamas & The Papas or Peter, Paul & Mary as main reference points, was a beautiful anomaly in the Spanish music scene.

They achieved huge success with their first single, ‘Cállate niña’, and their delicate, captivating LP, which was brilliantly arranged and produced by Rafael Trabucchelli.

Their time together was short-lived and they never released any more records, but their vocalist Jeanette would soon start a career as a solo artist with hits such as ‘Por qué te vas’ and ‘Soy rebelde’
