Todos os Olhos is one of the most emblematic and essential records of the
\nconfrontational music of Brazil. By denouncing, criticizing, and mocking the
\ntrend of \u201cheroes\u201d who made \u201cprotest music\u201d at the time, Tom Ze\u0301 signed his
\neremitic letter of exclusion but not without \u201ccontest the contestation\u201d.

Reissued for the first time outside of Brazil, “Todos Os Olhos” is one of the most important Brazilian records of all time. Tom Z\u00e9 is considered the most “paulista” of all Tropicalistas. He came from Bahia, but his wry urban poetry, infused with theuncomfortable sounds of the largest metropolis of South America, is pure S\u00e3o Paulo.<\/p>\n
The tracks “Complexo de E\u0301pico”, “Cademar”, “Um \u201cOH\u201d e um \u201cAH\u201d”, “Augusta, Ange\u0301lica e Consolac\u0327a\u0303o” and “O Riso e a Faca were included in “Brazil Classics 4: The Best Of Tom Z\u00e9”,
\ncompiled by David Byrne and released by Luaka Bop in 1990.<\/p>\n
