Along with Soft Machine and Pink Floyd, Tomorrrow were one of the most relevant bands of the 1967 London underground. Its members included Keith West (of hit ‘Excerpt From A Teenage Opera’ aka ‘Grocer Jack’), John Twink Alder (Pretty Things, Pink Fairies) on drums and guitarist Steve Howe (Syndicats, Yes). They only managed to record one album before breaking up in 1968, a psych pop masterpiece with first-rate tracks featuring backward guitar phasing (‘My White Bicycle’), Electric Sitar riffin’ (‘Real Life Permanent Dream’) and pre-hippie anthems (‘Revolution’). Reissue of the only LP recorded by Tomorrow, one of the essential bands of the 1967 London underground along with Pink Floyd and Soft Machine. Although they didn’t achieve those bands’ level of success and broke up in 1968, their self-titled LP is a superb example of concise British psychedelia.
